Completely agree on adding table lamps. Table lamps are what create coziness for me — which is probably why I keep buying them. In my projects, I intentionally limit downlights and build atmosphere through layered lighting instead.
Just saying thank you for putting these posts together. I know it must be a lot of work but my goodness, it sure is fun to click each link. The lamps from wayfair are gorgeous. They have a pink one as well the orange. So pretty
The lampshade tip is chef's kiss! I've been hunting for vintage lamps at estate sales and the shades are always either missing or totaly dated. Swapping them out for something modern (esp those conical rattan ones) makes such a huge diff. Last month I found this ceramic base for $8 and put a drum shade on it, now it looks like a $200 lamp and everyone asks where I got it lol
100%, still trying to find covers for all of my discoloured white outlets — such an eye sore!

Wayfair has a surprising number of great things including some “fancier” stuff!

I am OBSESSED with conical lampshades!
Thanks for justifying the small details like switching out hardware can make SUCH a difference!
TRULY such a difference! Even outlet covers!

Also I recently discovered that there are decorative toilet bolt covers! Penguins, frogs and birds. I can’t make up my mind!
All great advice!!!
