I just did a mini road trip with my two best friends when we were all back in Florida right before Christmas and it was the best! Planning to make it an annual thing now
One of them lives in Sarasota now, she picked us up in Tampa and we drove up to the Don Garlits Museum, some roadside barbecue, some thrift and antique stores along the way, stayed at the Herlong Mansion in Micanopy, had dinner in Gainesville, and did Silver Springs glass bottom boat tour on the way back home. Picking a new destination for next year! (Suggestions welcome, especially from the queen of Florida thrifting and antiquing!)
What a year! You have a lot to be proud of 💪 Looking forward to your second book and hoping this is the year I do the world’s longest yard sale myself.
Happy New Year, Virginia! 💕 Well done on the small changes for big impact! This is one of the best pieces of advice I give people: stay strong! Keep your core and upper body strength up and you’ll never get sore backs. Many of my fellow 50/60-somethings tend to stop working out/doing weights or weight-bearing exercises and they are screwed. I do pushups, standing rows (on one leg for balance), deadbugs and bird-dogs, every other day. I may not look it, but I have rock-hard abs.💪
Happy New Year to an amazing human! Loved all the small changes for big impact ideas. I retired a few months ago and went through my closet and donated so much to our local thrift shop. I need to go through my closet again as I realize I have not worn some items since the “. Great Closet Clean Out of 2025”. I’m ordering the Trashie bags now!
