I’ve been traveling to Atlanta for years. I was born in North Georgia and, when I was young, my grandmother owned an apartment complex in the area. We would make the drive from Florida at least four times per year, always adding several days to our trip to stay in Atlanta.

Over the decades, I’ve seen it absolutely flourish. Now, the movie industry has made a major impact, with many of the biggest film and television projects being filmed in “Ya’llywood.” The Beltline (Atlanta’s answer to the High Line in New York) has further transformed the city, allowing pedestrians to walk or bike easily to restaurants and take in public art and gorgeous gardens.

I love Atlanta. It is truly one of my favorite cities in the entire world. So I figured I’d publish a Design Guide to the city — where to stay and eat and shop if you love design as much as me. (I already have a guide on where I like to thrift and shop for antiques in Atlanta, btw, so if you’re looking for that specifically, there you go).
