Hey gang and Happy Friday,
I’m on the road again this weekend, going to Savannah for a friend’s birthday weekend. I’ve been to Savannah a lot over the years (it is such a close drive to me!) so I have a lot on my agenda and can hopefully create a nice little city guide when I get back! Any recs I might not know about? Send ‘em my way!
As for today’s letter, I got lots of questions about my Nashville outfits, so sharing them here as best I can (I wore a lot of secondhand!)
xx,
VC
Travel Day
Sustainable sneakers (these are light as a feather it literally feels like you are wearing slippers)
Padded silver tote for my laptops
Croc tote for everything else
In-studio television interview:
Vintage Miu Miu dress (via 1stDibs)
Old Christian Louboutin heels (via a Saks outlet probably more than a decade ago)
Day 1 of the Home Show:
Old Celine espadrilles (purchased at an outlet many years ago)
Day 2 of the Home Show:
Old Alexander McQueen top (purchased secondhand at a shop in Atlanta)
Day 3 of the Home Show/NewsNation remote interview:
Old dress by The Vampire’s Wife (purchased secondhand at a shop in Atlanta)
Travel day:
Prabal Gurung cashmere dress (bought during the World’s Longest Yard Sale!)
Cashmere sweater around waist
Some other things that made my trip (and all trips) great:
These eye patches (I have a ton of these; they are less than $12 for a three-pack. I pack them for every trip, and put them in the mini fridge before I use them.)
My cheerful Chloe jelly sandals (very comfortable and well-made)
These melatonin sleep strips, which put me to bed within 20 minutes
In case you missed it: I published my complete January-to-December guide to the yard sales, flea markets and secondhand-shopping events worth planning a trip around. Paid subscribers can also access the saveable calendar.
I spoke to NewsNation last week about the booming secondhand market. Take a look!
You got some serious style! Luuuvv
That MiuMiu Dress is quite a find! Splits cute and rocker right down the middle.
