TGIF. This has been a long week.
I am traveling next week and very excited to decompress (and sign some books at The Big Green Barn in Morristown, New Jersey on July 11, 2-4 PM). Was thinking that I’d do a little travel diary of sorts in an upcoming letter — show you what I ate, where I stayed (staying at a pretty fancy spot, tbh), all the vintage I saw.

I struggle with how much personal content readers want here versus my typical, educational vintage-sourcing stuff. But I publish so much I feel like there’s room for both? Please please let me know in the comments! I will not be offended either way and truly want this to be a space you want to return to, again and again.

I am dreaming of a way to make this outdoor sectional work on my tiny little screened-in porch. I actually think that since it’s convertible, I could make it fit, and it would be really magical. Will update.
A go-to breakfast for me: quick-cook oats (I add creatine and protein powder to mine!) with so many toppings. Here we have a banana, some almong butter, a homemade, two-ingredient blueberry-chia jam, and a sprinkle of hemp hearts for fiber.
The tulips at all the grocery stores right now are really hard to say no to. Added to a thrifted vase? Even better.
I got this dress at the Rose Bowl Flea Market in Pasadena a couple weeks ago for around $200. It’s by Johanna Ortiz and now I am deep deep in a pit of bookmarked secondhand Johanna Ortiz dresses because they are all so good. Currently among my RealReal bookmarks: this green and pink number and this halter dress with paillettes.
An outfit formula I am thinking about a lot: color-blocking a t-shirt with a feminine lace-and-silk skirt and adding a sweater over the shoulders. Good excuse to dig through the intimates section at the thrift store to replicate the look, but the actual skirt is here.
A recent obsession for me is the work of ceramic artist Jossolini, which is so whimsical and chic and fantastical. I want everything.
Would you just look at this candle! The entire thing is made of wax, handle and tray included. It reminds me of something from a fairy tale and I like to walk around the house with it as if I am from a different time. Would make a great gift, too.

I never thought I’d be the type of person to get excited by dryer sheets but here we are. Affordable, and the box makes me really happy on laundry days.
