I was lucky enough to attend the Marburger Atlanta preview party for the second year in a row and left feeling so inspired! I was so thrilled to meet some of my favorite vintage dealers in person (like Collected for the Home and Stephanie Schofield) and, as always, I took plenty of photos and videos of the stuff I loved the most.
Marburger is a fixture of the Round Top, Texas antique show but last year they began popping up in Atlanta (so those who can’t make their over to Texas can just stop in during Market week).
If you’re in Atlanta, the show takes place July 16-19, Downtown at the Southern Exchange Ballroom and it’s incredibly well-curated. I noted a few things that I think we will see more of in the coming months in the design world. Here are my personal faves.
All Things Seashell
Yes, the shell trend continues and we are all better for it. The shell-topped glass bottles are gorgeous but what about just a big display of shells? Would not be easy to dust but so fun to look at.
Funny Murano Glass Moments
These Murano glass cigarettes are genius. Such a fun, tongue-in-cheek design moment (without the residual health implications).
Marionette Heads
Every few years, I notice some sort of vintage architectural flourish that sneaks its way into mainstream design. A few years ago, it was balloon and candle molds. Now, I’m noticing marionette heads everywhere. I love these.
Animal Print
The animal-print trend isn’t so much a trend as it is a classic. I love using animal print as a neutral. It’s bold, it’s lush, it’s incredibly sexy. I want it all.
Other Stuff I Saw & Loved

ODDS & ENDS
Coco & Eve, maker of my favorite sun products, is hosting a big sale. The tan-boosting, anti-aging body oil (spf 45) is under $30 and the bronzing foam is just over $30.
I recently discovered swimwear line Summersalt, which makes excellent (and cute!) swimwear that stays put (high-waisted bikini bottoms, one-pieces cut enough to wear as bodysuits). The brand sent me a code, too: VIRGINIA10 gets you $40 off.
Another fun thing I ordered recently: these barrel-legged pants that don’t wrinkle. Ideal for a trip and very chic!
What strikes me most looking at these is how much delight and whimsy could be found there. Murano glass cigarettes! Octagon tables forever.
