I am always looking for weird - I recognized long ago that I like the stuff no one else does. I regret not snagging an armadillo basket (tail in mouth) from my granddad's den before he died.
The half-naked man reminds me of Robert Maplethorpe. I have a very weird painting of a man and woman sitting on a sailing ship. The man is wide-eyed and the woman has a very proprietary hand on his knee. I hung it above my jewelry, of course.
I LOVE Mapplethorpe! And that’s exactly why I bought this naked man. it’s actually by Viktor Skrebneski and was photographed for the Chicago Film Festival…a great way to get people to attend the event, though I’m unsure it had anything to do with movies!
