this is so beautiful. grief is such a sticky thing; it gets all over things you never thought it would (like a piece of gum on your shoe that somehow ends up smeared into the carpet, and then unexpectedly on the elbow of your favorite coat) -- making you wonder: how could this one piece of "gum" get all over everything unnoticed. but that is grief: a thing that happens when and where we least expect it, never ever quite gone...

I’ve recently lost my grandma who brought me up few days before Christmas last year and I feel every word here, thank you for sharing your heart with us, this is beautiful.

thank you for being vulnerable and putting your feelings into words i needed for myself.

yesterday was four year to the date I lost my bubbly mother to a tragic ending that I wrestle with figuring out why did her life end like that. like you, i felt empty. like a blank space because I lost myself. honestly this is the first year i felt like somebody worth knowing…

sending you well wishes ✨. make sure to schedule out space to exhale

Wow! This couldn’t be more true. My grandmother is my best friend and she is 98 and not doing well. I can’t tell you how much every word of this means to me.

Thank you for this poignant post. Grief haunts us, changes us, in so many ways. It can also make us brave enough to seek joy and love again, even though we now know exactly what we are setting ourselves up for… Thank you for reminding us that that path is marvelous, even if seeming perilous. 🫂

Thank you for capturing and sharing your loss and the ways you are moving in it. It has gripped my heart and has given me an opportunity to think about where I put that love after profound loss. You are right, it does need to go somewhere. Reading your words is such an affirmation and comfort of all of the messy feelings. thank you so very much and bless you.
